Stéphanie Leyronas

Stéphanie Leyronas graduated from France's Ecole des Mines de Paris and in 2000 she received a Master's Degree in environmental science - speciality developing countries from INA-PG (AgroParisTech). She integrated the Agence française de développement (AFD) in 2000 and for 9 years was in charge of the appraisal and monitoring of the water and sanitation programmes financed by AFD in a number of countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. From 2004 to 2007 she specialised in crisis and post-crisis situations and then on the Near and Middle East from 2007 to 2009. She became deputy director of AFD’s water and sanitation department in 2010 and joined the research department on the theme of Sustainable Management of natural resources in September 2014.
