Sanjivi Sundar is currently a Distinguished Fellow at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and Emeritus Professor in TERI University. Mr Sundar has had a distinguished career in the Civil Service in India. He has since 1997 led TERI's work in the area of transport and has focused on promoting sustainable urban transport in India's cities. He has spoken at several national and international conferences on transport and its impact on energy, environment and climate change. He was a member of the High Level National Transport Development Policy Committee set up by the Government of India to draw up a policy for meeting the transport demands by 2032 in a sustainable manner. He has also led TERI’s work in regulatory reforms and sustainable urban development and has written and spoken extensively on these subjects. He is been the Associate Editor for a “Planet for Life Series” for several years.
