Jean-Louis Rastoin

French nationality. Agricultural engineer, Doctor in Economics, and University’s Agrégé in Management Sciences, Jean-Louis Rastoin held an adviser to the ministry of Agriculture of Brazil and Renault Agriculture, professor at the University Lyon III, scientific director of the Institute of Public Management, department director in Cirad, professor and director of the laboratory “Markets, Organizations, Institutions and Actor’s Strategies” (Moisa), in Montpellier SupAgro. He is presently honorary professor at Montpellier SupAgro, founder and scientific advisor of the UNESCO Chair “World Food Systems”, and an associated researcher in Moisa. Author of over 200 scientific publications and communications, he is an associated expert for the Think Tank Ipemed. He leads the editorial board of the scientific review “Food Systems” (S3A). He is a member of the Academy of Agriculture of France and president of the association “Social sciences and food systems”. His teaching and research focuses on food economics and business strategies.
