Henry de Cazotte

Henry de Cazotte is Special Representative for Habitat III, Deputy Head Development Policy, and Special Advisor to the Director for Sustainable Development at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development, France. He is an agronomist, graduated from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETHZ), Switzerland, and from l’Ecole Supérieures des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales, (ESSEC), Paris, France. Henry de Cazotte has led an international development career in various positions in the field: Ethiopia, Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Brazil, etc. and worked for the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Agence Francaise de Développement (AFD). His different functions include those of head of the office of the Managing Director of AFD, of Cooperation and Cultural Counsellor at the French Embassy in Brasilia, Brazil, of Director of the AFD Regional Agency in Southern Africa, Johannesburg, South Africa, of Director of External Relations and Communication at AFD. Lately he has been Special Advisor to the Executive Coordinator of the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development Rio +20, based in New York, and was the French Inter Department Task team Coordinator on the international development agenda for post-2015 and the SDGs, and for the Financing for Development Conference. Henry de Cazotte is involved in diverse activities in France, including local sustainable development, and viticulture. He is married and has four children.
