Christophe Bonneuil is a historian at the National Scientific Research Centre, France (CNRS) and teaches at Ehess in Paris (France).
His research covers the relationships between society and environment from 19th century to today. He directs the « Anthropocene » collection, an interdisciplinary area on global socioecological issues, published by Les Editions du Seuil.
His publications include: Gènes, pouvoirs et profits (2009, with F. Thomas), Une autre Histoire des 'Trente Glorieuses' (2013, with C. Pessis and S. Topçu), The Shock of the Anthropocene: The Earth, History and Us (2016, with J-B. Fressoz), and The Anthropocene and the Global Environmental Crisis (Routledge, 2015, with C. Hamilton and F. Gemenne).
