Carole-Anne Sénit

Carole-Anne is a political scientist by training, with a career spanning both research on and practice in the civil society sector. She obtained her PhD at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, Utrecht University, on civil society participation in the negotiations on the Sustainable Development Goals. Carole-Anne’s interest lies in global democracy, legitimacy and civil society influence in global governance. Her work has appeared in international peer-reviewed journals including Global Governance and Global Policy.  Carole-Anne is currently based in Paris, working at the NGO ‘Association 4D’ as a program officer on the Sustainable Development Goals. She conducts awareness-raising and advocacy activities to engage both the public and decision-makers in the implementation of the goals.  Prior to her doctoral studies, Carole-Anne worked as a research fellow at Sciences Po’s Centre for Political Research (Cevipof) and at the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations (IDDRI). She holds a 5-year integrated MSc in Political Science and Sustainable Development from Sciences Po Paris.
