Bruno Frère

Bruno Frère is a philosopher and sociologist (graduate of the Université de Liège, the Université Libre de Bruxelles and the University of Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne). He completed a doctoral dissertation on solidarity economy under Luc Boltanski (École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, Paris). After a post-doctorate at Cambridge University he was appointed research associate of FNRS and Professor at the Université de Liège. He has written several scientific or general public articles on political sociology and social theory.  His publications include Épistémologie de la sociologie (with Marc Jacquemain, Brussels, de Boeck, 2008), Le Nouvel esprit solidaire (Paris, Desclée de Brouwer, 2009), Résister au quotidien ? (with Marc Jacquemain, Paris, Presses de SciencesPo, 2013) and Le tournant de la théorie critique (Paris, Desclée de Brouwer, 2015).
