Thierry Giordano

French gricultural economist by training, a development expert by experience, Thierry Giordano has worked extensively on climate change and green economy related matters.

Now Food Security and Local Government Advisor at FAO, he had joined the International Cooperation Center for Agronomic Research and Development (CIRAD) in 2002. The CIRAD seconded him to work with the IDDRI then with the Development Bank of Southern Africa where he worked for 2 years on a World Bank research program aiming at investigating rural livelihoods in 7 countries and understanding the role of agriculture in the incipient economic transitions of developing countries.
